Introducing TAMCC

Thukela-Amajuba-Mzinyathi Christian Council (TAMCC) is a fellowship of churches and Christian organisations. It is a regional council of KwaZulu-Natal Christian Council (KZNCC) with an office in Ladysmith - covering the area of three district municipalities: uthukela, amaJuba and uMzinyathi in the Northern Western part of KwaZulu-Natal, one of the nine provinces of South Africa. TAMCC was officially launched in 1999. TAMCC is in process to independence to be finalised in 2010.

TAMCC works through the local ecumenical structures: the ministers fraternals, which are associations of ministers of different denominations in a community.

The area has a population of approximately 1, 5 million people of which 45% are unemployed . Main challenge :is the lack of service delivery especially in deep rural communities. Most of the population is of Christian faith.
