30 EMINENT CHURCH LEADERS TO VISIT FAMILIES OF RAPE VICTIMS IN LUVISI VILLAGE, NQUTHU, NORTHERN KZN

The KwaZulu-Natal Christian Council (KZNCC) Executive Secretary and Spokesperson, Bishop Nathi Zondi will on Thursday, 29 September 2022, lead a delegation of Senior Clergy leadership in the province to monitor the progress of the families of the 13 children who were allegedly raped by a pastor.

It is alleged that 56-year-old reverend had been luring young girls and boys, aged between five and 17 years, to watch cartoons with him… and had then played pornographic videos, and allegedly also raped and abused some of the children.

Secretary, Bishop N. Zondi will be accompanied by thirty (30) leaders and has also invited the MEC of Social Development, Hon. Nonhlanhla Khoza.

The delegation will start with a verification process followed by a brief psychotherapy of victims.

There after the delegation will visit the local schools in the area to offer support, psychotherapy and prayers.

Lastly, upon the end of the verification process, the trained Clergy Counsellors will conduct a massive follow up on identified victims that require special attention.
