1. Floods rescue (aims to protect people’s dignities)- relocating people and providing temporary shelters e.g., halls &tents, jojo tanks, matresses and other equipment. This project is led by Dr Phumlani Majola who is a KZNCC Staff member.
  2. Clergy Training Workshops on Counselling& Mediation-led by a team of education experts at KZNCC i.e., Bishop Nathi Zondi, Dr LM Ngoetjana and Mr Simphiwe Zondi. This project is a capacity-building initiative for peacebuilding, targeting the affected families. The team conducted the trainings throughout the whole 11 districts in the KZN Province. Currently, the project is at the peak of the implementation stage whereby the trained clergy are doing door-to-door counselling in the respective areas.
  3. Healing of Memories & Reconciliation: A project led by Rev Sipho Sokhela that deals mainly with psychotherapy and social cohesion efforts.
    this one is a multi-fold project encompassing of the following subprojects:

  5. Healing through Sport i.e., soccer and netball for communities including pastors


The overall objectives of the above :

-Assisting churches to respond
-Rolling out the course of KZNCC

-Walking alongside our regions to assist them to respond to disasters to promote KZNCC.

-Responding to the effects of the disaster. In doing so we are ensuring that the mandate of KZNCC is achieved.
